Cutter & Buck ambassador Stacy Bregman has won for the second time in 2015, this time winning the Dimension Data Ladies Pro-Am in George.
After deciding to skip the first few events of the Ladies European Tour season, her decision is certainly paying dividends with her winning two of the first three events of the year. “Now I really feel vindicated about my decision to skip the first couple of Ladies European Tour events in Australasia,” said the delighted champion, who shared centre stage at the prize giving with Dimension Data Pro-Am winner, Branden Grace.
“I decided to stay home and support the Sunshine Ladies Tour this season and one of my goals was to try and win a couple of tournaments to make sure I make the final. It’s been fantastic to start the season like this and build some confidence for the Ladies European Tour in March.”
Stacy Bregman carded rounds of 72-71 in tough conditions, which saw players dealing with both rain and wind in the two rounds. Fellow Cutter & Buck ambassador and Mizuno Player Kim Williams and Rhode Island ambassador Nicole Garcia finished T7th on a score of 151 (+7).
Two weeks back Bregman claimed her first victory at the Sun International Ladies Challenge at Lost City where she shot 71-74 to win by a single stroke. This together with the Dimension Data victory move her to 8th on the Sunshine Ladies Tour Order of Merit with earnings of just over R111 000.00 from just 4 events.
Moving to the Sunshine Tour, Cutter & Buck ambassador Darren Fichardt was leading with a single round to play at the Dimension Data Pro-Am, but unfortunately didn’t finish as well as he would have liked leaving him in a share of 3rd on 281 (-8). Ulrich Van Den Berg finished further down the leaderboard on a score of 293 (+4) and share of 49th.
